Το φεστιβάλ φιλοξενείται σε μια ιστορική πέτρινη εκκλησία, προσφέροντας μια “intimate jazz in a candlelit mountain church” εμπειρία, όπου ο ήχος, η ακουστική και το τοπίο δημιουργούν μια ατμόσφαιρα πραγματικά ξεχωριστή.
Το πρόγραμμα του Vlatos Jazz Festival 2026
Η φετινή σεζόν ανοίγει δυναμικά στις 28 Ιουνίου με το Herbie Hancock Tribute από το Stefan Olofsson Trio, ένα αφιέρωμα σε έναν από τους σημαντικότερους καλλιτέχνες της jazz.
Στις 5 Ιουλίου, οι Sanchez and Stöckly παρουσιάζουν το project “A Journey Across the Atlantic”, ενώ στις 12 Ιουλίου το Thomas Meleteas Trio μας ταξιδεύει με το “Whispers of the Oud”.
Η συνέχεια ανήκει στις 19 Ιουλίου στο Maria Manousaki Quartet με το πρόγραμμα “Strings That Sing the Island”, ενώ στις 26 Ιουλίου το κοινό θα απολαύσει το “Homage to Bill Evans” από το Dimitris Verdinoglou Trio.
Ο Αύγουστος ξεκινά στις 2 Αυγούστου με το “Ode to Chick Corea” από το Aposperia Jazz Trio, ενώ στις 9 Αυγούστου το σχήμα Adama φέρνει ήχους από την Κρήτη και soul επιρροές.
Στις 16 Αυγούστου, οι Leventopoulos and Limakis παρουσιάζουν το Acoustic Guitar Project, ενώ στις 23 Αυγούστου το Antonis Leontidis Trio δίνει τη δική του μουσική αφήγηση με το “Personal Stories in Sound”.
Το πρόγραμμα συνεχίζεται στις 30 Αυγούστου με το “Salute to Dr. Lonnie Smith” από το Kostas Kastonis Trio, ενώ στις 6 Σεπτεμβρίου το Melos String Quartet παρουσιάζει το πρόγραμμα “The Show Must Go On”.
Στις 13 Σεπτεμβρίου, η Anakate Ntounia φέρνει μια ιδιαίτερη μουσικοχορευτική εμπειρία με τίτλο “Crete and Africa in Lyrical Dance”, ενώ στις 20 Σεπτεμβρίου το Stratis Skarakis Trio ταξιδεύει το κοινό “From Kissamos to Everywhere”.
Η αυλαία πέφτει στις 27 Σεπτεμβρίου με μια αυθεντική Rebetiko Night από το Giorgos Chachlakis Band.

Η εμπειρία του να βρεθείς στο χωριό Βλάτος Χανίων
Στην καρδιά της Κισσάμου, περίπου 50 χιλιόμετρα από τα Χανιά, σε ένα μικρό ορεινό χωριό που μοιάζει να έχει μείνει έξω από τον χρόνο, ο Βλάτος ξεδιπλώνει μια αυθεντική πλευρά της Κρήτης που δύσκολα συναντά κανείς.
Χτισμένος μέσα σε μια καταπράσινη κοιλάδα, ανάμεσα σε ελαιώνες και καστανιές, σε υψόμετρο που προσφέρει γαλήνη και καθαρό αέρα, ο Βλάτος κουβαλά ιστορία χιλιάδων ετών και μια έντονη αίσθηση απλότητας και ισορροπίας.

Vlatos Jazz Festival 2026 | A Summer of Music in the Heart of the White Mountains
The Vlatos Jazz Festival returns in the summer of 2026 with a rich and diverse programme, transforming the mountain village of Vlatos in Chania into a unique destination for jazz lovers and beyond.
From June 28 to September 27, 2026, every Sunday, music meets nature in an atmospheric setting, within a space that blends history with an authentic experience.
The festival takes place in a historic stone church, offering an intimate, candlelit mountain setting where sound, acoustics and landscape come together to create a truly distinctive atmosphere.
The Vlatos Jazz Festival 2026 Programme
This year’s season opens on June 28 with a Herbie Hancock Tribute by the Stefan Olofsson Trio, celebrating one of the most influential figures in jazz.
On July 5, Sanchez and Stöckly present “A Journey Across the Atlantic”, followed on July 12 by the Thomas Meleteas Trio with “Whispers of the Oud”.
The programme continues on July 19 with the Maria Manousaki Quartet and “Strings That Sing the Island”, while on July 26 the audience will enjoy “Homage to Bill Evans” by the Dimitris Verdinoglou Trio.
August begins on August 2 with “Ode to Chick Corea” by the Aposperia Jazz Trio, followed on August 9 by Adama, blending Cretan sounds with soul influences.
On August 16, Leventopoulos and Limakis present the Acoustic Guitar Project, while on August 23 the Antonis Leontidis Trio offers a personal musical narrative with “Personal Stories in Sound”.
The programme continues on August 30 with “Salute to Dr. Lonnie Smith” by the Kostas Kastonis Trio, and on September 6 the Melos String Quartet presents “The Show Must Go On”.
On September 13, Anakate Ntounia brings a unique music and dance experience with “Crete and Africa in Lyrical Dance”, while on September 20 the Stratis Skarakis Trio takes the audience on a journey “From Kissamos to Everywhere”.
